Why a Blog?

Rather than send out regular emails, which I personally feel can be invasive and often unwelcome, we've decided to create this blog so that we can post any news or photos about Ian.

The idea is that, IF you are interested, then you can subscribe to the RSS feed, follow the blog, bookmark the page, whatever. We don't want to force our baby news on you—after all, we recognize that you might not be as into him as we are! (But really, how could you not be?!)

I don't like the privacy control of Facebook, so you won't find this info there. And besides, not everyone has a Facebook account.

We also don't want to come off as crazy parents that document every time the kid poops (despite the fact that he has his own blog), so this probably won't be a post-a-day blog; just new entries when something interesting or significant bears posting.

So enjoy hearing about our son! 'Cuz we are sure enjoying having him!
